Based: Based in the SoftBrands office at Reading
Position: Part-time, Permanent
Summary
Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of payroll, including the computing of bonus’, commissions, salary and overtime, PAYE and social security; deductions for employee benefits, etc and calculation of supplier benefit payments. Maintains production records and payroll system according to Sarbanes Oxley compliant guidelines. Annual production of P11Ds
Files all payroll taxation documents and ensures payments are made as required.
Assistance with other business requirements as needed from time to time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- 30% Processes complex payroll activities in accordance with guidelines and legal requirements.
- Reports all data and social security for taxation purposes.
- Calculates and assesses pension contributions, required deductions.
- Responsible for reconciling reports and financial data.
- Processes and records pay data accurately and on a timely basis.
- 25% Audits and produces payroll-related documents and reports for management.
- Analyzes and interprets accounting records and financial documents.
- Compiles financial and payroll information for contribution to reports.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to management.
- 25% Monitors the payroll and tax accounts to ensure accuracy.
- 10% Recommends methods and procedures to improve the functioning of the payroll integration to the accounting area.
- 10% Works closely with personnel in other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Essential Education, Skills, and Environment
Education and Work Experience
- Strong Background in payroll administration
- Basic understanding of accounts
Specialised Knowledge and Skills
- High level knowledge of UK reporting requirements.
- Skilled in mathematical applications.
- Excellent time management and work load planning, communication, decision-making, presentation, human relations, and organisational skills.
- Flexible approach.

- General office environment.
