Summary:This position is responsible for creating value to our customers by providing functional consulting support and training on SoftBrands, and our partners ERP related software products. This person works as a consulting team member or an individual functional consultant for fee-based product implementation, including Lead functions, functional customization via configuration of SAP solution sets including Business One, SoftBrands Fourth Shift Edition, and/or The Four51 Print Industry solution. All have the requirement to understand and utilize Microsoft technology. This person will also be responsible for conducting functional training via train-the-trainer, classroom and individualize end user training approaches for customers on functional aspects of the aforementioned solutions.
10% - Administrative requirement to maintain required reporting discipline with pre-engagement reports, project statements of work, post-engagement reporting, and timely submission of all job-related expenses. Maintain a personal calendar (6 weeks out) utilizing provided SoftBrands tools.
70% - Delivery of project related services at customer sites throughout North America relative to functions and usage of SoftBrands and/or partners application software.
- Responsible for delivery via lecture, demonstrations, discussion groups, hands-on exercises relative to training requirements of customer project plan.
- Business Process Analysis and configuration to meet customer business requirements through SoftBrands and/or partners application software.
20% - Develop strategies and solutions for interfacing/integrating data from a variety of solutions into SoftBrands and/or partners application solutions.
- Exhibit and deliver configuration expertise to customize SoftBrands and/or partner solutions to meet business requirements of customer as defined in the project plans developed and approved.
- Assisting in the integration or interfacing of third-party applications deemed to be of value to our customer base.
Essential Education, Skills and Environment:
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Minimum of five years experience in manufacturing software implementation and use, software development, technical product support, software technical training or consulting
- Prior experience with Fourth Shift Edition products/ services or SAP Business One product /services a plus.
Key Skills & Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Products including Microsoft Office, Projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, organizational and planning skills required.
- Professional appearance and presentation required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills working as a team member and as a customer liaison.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- 70 % travel. Some weekend work will be required.
