Summary:Directs and develops billable consulting programs for all SAP related professional services worldwide. Responsible for all aspects of providing professional services (consulting, training, custom projects) including delivery, program and project management, and quality assurance to a large customer base. Accountable for SoftBrands consulting team involving resource allocation, budget, coaching plans, and hiring. Set policy and direction, negotiate contractual agreements, and build effective customer/vendor relationships. Also, responsible for building a global partner delivery model and cooperation with SAP consulting. Develop and establish business plans and strategic goals for the customer education and consulting department. Has 12 or more years of experience in product support and consulting with at least five years of management experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Consulting
- Research, design, schedule and implement consulting offerings
- Serve as the escalation point for issues beyond project team authority
- Resolve conflicts involving scheduling, resources, and/or technical issues
- Provide accurate consulting forecasts based on actual billings reports, scheduled engagements and
prospective upcoming work.
Training
- Research, design, schedule and implement the present and new training and curriculum programs for customers.
- Manage instructors and ensure quality content
- Plan and execute new offerings to increase customer’s value from SoftBrands products
- Research and recommend new technology for delivering training and increasing revenue
- Monitor, respond and resolve customer satisfaction issues
- Create training services proposals with sales
Sales Support and Presales
- Managed combined sales pipelines for sales and consulting in cooperation with the sales department
- Provide consulting project plans, develop customer proposals and statements of work
- Engage in consulting presales at customer sites
General
- Hire and arrange for new consultants and trainers
- Work with sales organizations to plan strategies
- Manage expenses to budget
- Maintain utilization of consultants at established levels
- Prepare monthly reports outlining revenues, utilization and status of major projects
- Ensure continuing education for consultants and trainers
- Establish global partner program , including negotiating contracts with customers and partners
- Create, manage and monitor vendor relationships within the education and consulting organization
- Interface with other departments as necessary
- Communicate with customers to assess customer satisfaction level with services and training
Essential Education, Skills and Environment:
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales or computer science. Advanced degree desirable.
- Requires experience in consulting with at least five years of management experience

- Sells consulting services. Discusses project planning and issues with customers
- Effective writing, editing, communications, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and presentation required
- Able to travel extensively

- PC’s, spreadsheets and various other software applications used as required
- Heavy phone usage contacting consultants and customers
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
